$ICE is an ERC-20 governance token for the Nova Creed Universe. $ICE holders will be able to claim rewards if they stake their tokens, play the game and build their own ships, and participate in key governance votes.

Our goal with the $ICE token is to ensure players are incentivised to keep diversifying their crews and their ships to optimise their performance over time. The mechanisms described above have two main goals:
To reward players for interacting with Nova Creed while simultaneously incentivising them to hold on to their tokens so they can claim additional rewards.
To decentralise the ownership and governance of Nova Creed.
Our aim is for Ice Hunt to be owners' first foray into our Universe, but one which keeps them engaged and which provides utility for each and every one of our Nova Creed NFT avatars as well as all of the ships created to play within our gaming environment.

Players will also be able to earn a share of the 50,000,000 $ICE tokens we have committed to , and much more when they play various future games within the Nova Creed Universe, including our PVP battle game and other species-centric games we have planned for the future.
In early 2022, the Community Treasury will go live. The Community Treasury will begin to receive $ICE revenues generated by Nova Creed owners, as they mint their new ships, or use their $ICE tokens to vote on the project direction, and in the future as they to create additional players within the game, as well as a portion of staking rewards.
